British Airways is proud to be the official airline of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As a proud British carrier we will be celebrating Britain up to and beyond London 2012.
Through our Great Britons programme, we will be helping British talent take off. We believe Britain has great British talent and we are excited to help develop this. At the heart of the programme, is our travel bursary scheme as well as a UK Sport partnership where we are providing flights to help British Olympic talent and their families on their journey to London 2012.
Helping to nurture the UK's next generation of Great Britons, the Bursary scheme is a £500,000 fund offering up to 180 flights a year until 2012, allowing people to realise their dreams.
This scheme will look for individuals who demonstrate the values associated with Olympic and Paralympic Games and who strive to be the best that they can be, be their passion in sport, music, fashion, performing arts, art and design, innovation, or Community.
The Bursary scheme is open to everyone who needs support. Whether you're the next Mark Ronson on the road to the Miami Music Festival, the future Sam Mendes planning a trip to the Cannes film festival, or even a local choir hoping to visit the Vatican, entries from all backgrounds are welcomed.
